Not a bad day for a Wednesday

and I managed to get a lotto Max ticket for Friday nights $25M draw from the pharmacy on the way upstairs.

We had about 8 of us in the back as tap shooters and before we began the shift one of the new people in the back got a $10,000 sale. I heard her talking to the customer and wondering why a few of the guys were hovering around her. Management even called the fellow back to confirm but it wasn't on a credit card or anything like that. We'll see if it banks. Most likely business will get it next year to call but chances are this was a one time deal. It was her last call of the shift. I basically struggled all night pulling in $185 and 3 cards.

Im just past the half way part of Ben Bova's "The green trap." So far it's not bad except for the info dump sections between chapters. I just breeze by those.

Anne made us each a bbq pork chop and her foil wrap oven potatoes for our late lunch. Good stuff. Boots got lose and ended up as Anne called it a "tumble-n-tuck"with Silky. Their 2nd T&T all day.

One of the customers on the phone last night turned out to be someone from my past: Mrs. A Strickland. I confirmed her first name as Alice, Alice used to work with us in the ladies floor at Army & Navy in the 1980's. I had a great 15 min chat with her remancing old times working at a great place. She's in her 80's now but it was nice to connect the past with her. That's one of the reasons why I like my job.  Anyway, that's about all for now.
