That was a fast read for me |
|
We took a sleeping pill around 2am this morning and I slept until 1pm this afternoon. I got up to read “The Green Trap” by Ben Bova. Finished it about 2 hours ago:
The Green Trap, by Ben Bova A review

My rating: 4/5 stars
Synopsis: A microbiologist was murdered because he discovered a way to get humanity off fossil fuels/oil. His brother also a scientist wants to find out who killed his brother and why?
Pros: Great narrative flow and accessible writing. The characters were tightly developed. Good pacing. A real page turner.
Cons: Not many other then the sometimes long sidebar info dumps that got a little repetitive. Characters seemed to be a little naive in some places.
Bottom line:
I really liked this book. I haven’t read many thrillers but this one held my interest as I finished it less then 10 days. I had fun with this book and even though I’m a Global warming skeptic, I’d recommend this excellent book. The ending totally surprised me. I’d buy other Ben Bova thrillers if they are as good as “The Green trap.”
Anne slow cooked a rack of back ribs for me. They weren’t that bad and I watched Sherlock Holms “Hound of the Baskerville.” Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce on Turner.
Seems Anne’s sister in Winnipeg 2 weeks ago sent us a $100 Superstore gift card for groceries. Since the keys were stolen last Saturday night, Anne thinks who ever stole them got the gift card. Another heartbreaker. Anne’s going to get the mail box lock changed as well.
