This morning heading into work on the train was sparse with passengers. Some of us still had to work over the holidays. I got to the office and sat at dialer #13 and had a slow start. The 2nd half was a little better and I sold an $80 ticket package but managed to get a late credit card for $30. I didn't get my vacation pay but after work I got my Lotto Max ticket for the big Friday $30M draw. Same idea as its predecessor Super 7: You pick 1 and get 2 extra quick pick draws. For $5 its a pretty good deal.
After I bought my Max ticket I went over to Audrey's books and had a chat with the staff. Happy New Year's, that sort of thing. They two books there for me, the Space Opera antholgy (which I'm close to getting book club wise) and one of Mercedes Lackey's books from the "Heralds of Valdamar" series: Arrows of the Queen. Seems the Omnibus for this is out of print but the individual books are still available.
I got home thinking it's a Saturday looking for hockey on TV. Feels like a Saturday even though it's obviously a Thursday. I have tonight and 3 days off as I mentioned to Gerry etc about not showing up for Saturday despite the stat pay. Anne says fuck it, for all the time off I've ever had over the years (nill) and its Christmas. Sounds good to me. Speaking of my sweaty, she's waiting or just boarding the LRT at Bay Station right about now and should be home by 8pm. She mentioned something about Pizza for supper tonight t.o help celebrate the New year. Anyway, to all my readers, have a happy New Year every one.
