I went to bed about 1:15am this morning but Anne woke me up with her screaming because Boots’s got out of the office and went for the other cats. So this woke me up. Then sirens from emergency vehicles outside…uggh. I might have got maybe 2 hours of sleep but then this always happens with me on a Friday night/Saturday morning. Especially when there’s a hockey game or something I want to catch later. Tonight it’s Vancouver at Chicago. I’m hoping for a Vancouver/Pittsburgh match up in the finale. The good thing about this NHL Playoff round is that the NHL are not taking their traditional playoff break between the end of round 1 and the beginning of round 2. This really drags the playoffs out so this way, the playoffs could be done by the end of May. Hopefully I won’t pass out on the couch trying to catch the game.

I don’t know if I mentioned this but Alice Cooper was here in Edmonton on Thursday night to a packed out house. Well it was really Rob Zombie with Alice Cooper. He’s very talented but most of Zombies music sounds the same. My buddy Warren left with his daughter after a few tunes. They each paid $100 near the disabled seating area. Alice Cooper was the first “rock concert” I ever saw. This was before “Nightmare” etc at the Vancouver PNE Gardens 1971. Dad drove Dave and I there but we had to find our own way back. We ended up walking which was a fair distance for a couple of kids barely 18 years old. I lost track of Alice Cooper after Nightmare for years but was able to pick up some of his hits beyond that like “Poison” and “Hey Stoopid.” Alice has been here more then a few times and he’s still going on as strong as ever. He hasn’t lost it. This tour might be the last time we’ll see Alice Cooper roll by here again. Oh yea, and Rob Zombie.

Today I’ve got a full day ahead of me. I’ll be off at 4:30pm and it’s over to Audrey’s books. “I’ll pick up my book next week (for sure) if that’s ok?”

Last night on my way home I was listening to episode 131 of Starship Sofa. I’m starting to enjoy this podcast. In that episode they were talking about putting in a bid for World Con for London England. Last year I believe it was in Montreal. I have episode #133 for tonight and another podcast I’m trying out “Logan’s Run.”

There are lot of good movies I want to watch this year/summer: “The A-Team”, “The last Airbender”, the latest remake of “Robin Hood,” but out of them all I want to see “Iron Man 2.” Iron Man 2 looks like an awesome movie. I hope Robin Hood (This incarnation) isn’t another Kevin Costner, Earl Flynn rehash of the original story line. Anyway, that’s all for now.
